1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies when you visit MaxPTE, create an account, practise a task, submit audio or written responses, purchase a plan or contact support.
MaxPTE is the service responsible for deciding how account and learning information is used. Privacy questions can be sent to support@maxpte.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, authentication identifiers and preferred language.
- Learning profile information such as target score, exam date, study schedule and selected preferences.
- Practice activity such as answers, recordings, scores, feedback, mistakes, progress and task history.
- Subscription and transaction records such as plan, currency, amount, payment status and provider reference. MaxPTE does not need to store your complete card credentials.
- Technical and security information such as IP address, device, browser, timestamps, diagnostic logs and session identifiers.
- Messages and files you choose to send to customer support.
3. Audio, writing and AI processing
When you use speaking tasks, your microphone recording is processed to provide playback, speech analysis, scoring and feedback. Written responses are processed for language and task analysis.
Responses may be sent to contracted AI, speech, hosting or storage providers only as needed to operate the requested feature. We do not sell learner recordings or written answers.
Automated results are used as practice guidance and not for legal, employment, immigration or official examination decisions.
4. Why we use information
- Create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- Deliver practice, scoring, feedback, study plans and personalized recommendations.
- Activate subscriptions, reconcile payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Respond to support requests and diagnose technical problems.
- Measure service quality and improve learning features.
- Meet legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution obligations.
5. Legal grounds
Depending on your location and the activity, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, or act on your consent where consent is required.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent for future processing. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing invalid.
6. Who receives information
- Hosting, database, storage, analytics, email and customer-support providers.
- AI and speech-processing providers used to deliver a feature you request.
- Payment providers and financial institutions handling your transaction.
- Professional advisers, regulators or authorities when legally required.
- A successor organization if MaxPTE is reorganized or transferred, subject to appropriate privacy safeguards.
7. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries different from yours. Where required, MaxPTE uses contractual and technical safeguards intended to protect information during international transfers.
8. Retention
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described in this policy. Account and learning history may be retained while the account is active. Payment and security records may be retained longer where required for accounting, fraud prevention or legal claims.
Recordings, written responses and generated feedback may be removed or anonymized when they are no longer needed for the learning feature, support, security or dispute handling. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before routine deletion.
9. Cookies and local storage
MaxPTE uses essential cookies or similar storage for authentication, security, language and core product functions. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should be used only where permitted and with any consent required in your location.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or practice features from working correctly.
10. Your choices and rights

- Access or request a copy of eligible personal information.
- Correct inaccurate account information.

- Complain to an appropriate data-protection authority where that right applies.
11. Security and children
We use access controls, authentication, encrypted connections, monitoring and backups intended to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
MaxPTE is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to an online learning service in their country. A parent or guardian should contact us if a child has provided information without valid permission.
12. Policy updates
We may update this policy when the product, providers or legal requirements change. The revised date will appear at the top, and material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
